my stay at the islander hotel was lovely. the rooms were clean and well-maintained, and the beach was just steps away, making it convenient for family outings. i appreciated the friendly staff who were genuinely attentive to our needs, which made our budget stay feel more like a getaway.

Check-in felt tedious with rooms not ready until 3:30 PM, which stalled plans for some beach time. The mattress felt like it had seen better days, providing less comfort than expected. There was a noticeable musty smell in the room, possibly due to humidity, and the pool area showed signs of neglect, with visible algae. Additionally, daily housekeeping wasn’t provided during the stay.

The best part was the amazing beach access! 🌊 The location is perfect, but we did have some issues with loud appliances in the room. a lovely stay!

I recently enjoyed a 3-night stay with family, and the beach access was absolutely fantastic—just steps away! Our room was clean and spacious, perfect for a family getaway. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, making it a truly pleasant experience. However, the shower in our room could use some updates to improve the overall comfort.

The location of the Islander is excellent, with immediate beach access making it convenient for work-related relaxation. The room was spacious, accommodating for a business traveller, and the staff were polite and helpful throughout my stay. The facilities such as the showers on site for rinsing off sand were much appreciated after a long day at work.

The room lacked standard amenities like a notepad and laundry bags.

The smoked meats at Rucker Johns had me drooling! Plus, the pool area was spacious and perfect for the kiddos. The whole vibe of the place is just right, and you can’t beat that beachfront access!

A little outdated, the remotes were a bit rogue, controlling both TVs at once! It took me a hot minute to figure that out.
